Hey, I’m Sarah
I’m a freelance copywriter, content writer, editor and journalist based on the Essex coast in the UK.
I specialise in writing online sales copy and content, and editing online content, for businesses, as well as copy-editing and proofreading non-fiction manuscripts for authors.
I’m also a freelance journalist and write personal essays, opinions pieces and features on a variety of topics.
I enjoy helping businesses make sales through the power of persuasive online copy, and build long-term and trusting relationships with their customers or clients via high-quality content.
I also love helping non-fiction authors achieve their publication dreams by ensuring manuscripts are perfectly polished before submission to a literary agent or publisher, or starting the self-publishing process.
Prior to starting my business I had a ten-year career in Higher Education operations and administration, during which time I also proofread academic and student work.
The variety and breadth of my skills, knowledge and experience helps me build strong relationships with my clients, and I’ve been working with many of them for several years.

I’m committed to my own professional development and regularly update my writing, editing and general business skills and abilities.
I've trained in editing with the Publishing Training Centre.
I also have an Award in Digital Marketing from the Institute of Data and Marketing, as well as copywriting qualifications.
I continuously undertake further training to keep my skills fresh and best serve my lovely clients.
